Private by design.

Palatr is a journal, not a social network. There are no public profiles, no followers and no ads.

  • Only you can read your journal — not other users, not the people who run Palatr.
  • Sign in with a passkey: nothing to remember, nothing to phish.
  • Photo location data is stripped before it's saved.
  • Export everything, any time. Delete your account and it's gone.

Questions

Who can see my journal?+

Only you. Your visits, notes, photos and companions are private to your account — other users can't see them, and neither can the people who run this Palatr.

Do I need an email address?+

No. You only need a username and a password or a passkey.

What's a passkey?+

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of a password. It can't be phished or leaked, and it syncs across your devices.

Does it work without internet?+

Yes. Install Palatr to your home screen and you can log visits offline — they sync automatically when you're back online.

Can I export my data?+

Any time, as JSON, CSV or a ZIP with all your photos. You can also import from a spreadsheet or from your Google Maps saved places.

Where does place information come from?+

Maps and nearby places come from OpenStreetMap, a free map built by volunteers. Your own notes and ratings never leave Palatr.
